Wildlife Data Collection & Research

Many wildlife management decisions are informed by university and non-profit researchers. We assist professional researchers and graduate students by supporting locally conducted wildlife research, including:

  • University of California Berkley’s investigation of wolf-prey dynamics and their effect on elk winter distribution and survival in Jackson Hole.

  • Wyoming Game and Fish Department and Wyoming Department of Transportation’s mapping and analysis of moose movement and habitat use in proximity to Highway 22/390.

  • Wyoming Game and Fish Department’s mapping of elk use of non-feedground winter range in the Fall Creek Herd.

  • Grand Teton National Park’s collection of bighorn sheep pellets to estimate herd size and genetic fitness.
